ASLET 2006
ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO
FRIDAY,
JANUARY 20, 2006
I wanted to see the Firearms Panel on Friday, so Peter got me up on time and we wandered down to the ASLET Store to pick up an extra t-shirt.
Along the way I
found a Pterodactyl in the marble floor.
That Survival Vision class must have affected my brain.
Cool bikes. They wouldn't let me
take a ride.
Wouldn't let me run the siren or the lights either...
FIREARMS
PANEL OF EXPERTS
MODERATED BY MASSAD AYOOB
The Firearms Panel was fairly impressive to me, and I'm not the easily impressed type. There are few opportunities for someone like me to learn from so many people like them all at the same time. I listened and learned. Unfortunately, I ran my mouth too. Fortunately I didn't say anything overtly stupid.

John Farnam on the right and Dr. Williams on the left.
Tom Marx
John Holschen
Dennis Tueller - who demonstrated the now famous Tueller drill right there in front of us.
Massad isn't just a firearms expert. He has a calm and even tone that is very easy on the audience.
I found Dr. Williams' comparison of calibers to be very interesting.

The ASLET Authors Luncheon and Book Signing was an opportunity to buy some books and have them autographed. While I'm not too much into autographs, I did pickup one of John Farnam's books, and I also picked up Shooting Through Glass, which I have since read and found well worth the money. Chris Yanuzzi opens the Luncheon, and each author gets up and speaks a little piece.
A perfect shot of the authors attending. Of course, John had to ruin it by digging in his nose on stage...
Kat in the Hat.
(Sorry, Kat. Couldn't resist it...)
