You are hereby granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the BackpackGearTest.org Report Writer (AKA, 'this software') for writing Owner Reviews and Test Reports for BackpackGearTest.org. This is the ONLY purpose for which this license is valid.

Any other use of this software is prohibited. If you wish to use this software in any other context, you must first secure the written permission of the author of this software. While all source code is included with the installation by default, this is not an open source project. All intellectual property rights are retained by the author. You may not repackage or redistribute this software. In the event of my untimely demise, all rights are hereby bequeathed to BackpackGearTest.org.

This software does not contain viruses, spyware, malware, or any of that kind of thing. This software does not access the internet, or otherwise transmit or receive data in any way. This software installs itself into the C:\MyBGT\ folder, makes some registry changes, and installs the Visual FoxPro runtime onto your machine. If you wish to uninstall this software, please use the Add/Remove Programs feature in the Control Panel of Windows.

There is no guarantee, warrantee, other tee, or any other such nonsense associated with this software. It cannot harm your computer, so if you install this and your computer barfs, that isn't the fault of the software. Get a better computer.

This software is only for Windows based operating systems. Any OS from Windows 95 through Windows Vista is supported. Any attempt to install this software on any other operating system is to court a disaster of unimaginable proportions. Just don't do it! Macintosh operating systems are not supported.

Use of this software for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited. If you chose to ignore that and use it for commercial purposes anyway, then you should at least have the decency to send me 2% of the net profits. If you chose to ignore THAT, then may marmots devour you alive. You agree not to fight said marmots when they come for you.

Use of this software for any illegal, immoral, sinful, bad, wrong, unethical, sinister, mean, petty, evil, or despicable purpose is also strictly prohibited. Use of this software by terrorists, or enemies of the United States (foreign or domestic) is strictly prohibited.

Minors are not permitted to install this software without the permission of the owner of the computer upon which they intend to install the software. Adults are likewise not permitted to install this software without the permission of the owner of the computer upon which they intend to install the software - like on a computer that belongs to your boss, company, or other entity that employs you.

Users of this software are encouraged (although not required) to make large cash donations to BackpackGearTest.org. If you cannot make large cash donations, then small cash donations will do. Checks and credit cards are also accepted. We no longer accept first born children or pets.

Users acknowledge that BackpackGearTest.org is not responsible for the Internet or whether it should continue to exist in its present form or whether or not a government or governmental agency, either foreign or domestic, will control, regulate or disband the Internet.

Users relieve BackpackGearTest.org and any agent or member of BackpackGearTest.org from any liability for any injury - physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual - real or imagined - which might result from the installation and use of this software - including, but not limited to, the loss of your job if you install this on a computer at work without the express, written permission of your boss or supervisor. Users agree to hold harmless BackpackGearTest.org and any agent or member of BackpackGearTest.org for any damages that may arise from the installation and use of this software.

Installation or use of this software on any computer not belonging to the installer of the software is strongly discouraged.

No crash recovery support is provided. You should back up your data on a regular basis. Failure to keep copies of your reports is just plain dumb.

Installation or use in any country, nation, or location where the installation or use of this software is not permitted, is not permitted. You are responsible for any violation of the law with respect to installation and use of this software.

Users agree to follow the Bylaws of BackpackGearTest.org when testing gear and writing reports.

This license may change at any time without notice, and you agree to be bound by the any changes in the license. If you do not approve of such changes, then you must discontinue use of the software.

Users who are offended by any of the above are prohibited from installing or using the software.
