LAWS OF WATER
1. If you are unsure of your next water source, carry as much as you
reasonably can.
2. Always 'camel up' at every water source. (Drink as much as
you can.)
3. Always filter or treat water in the back country.
4. If you use a water bag (Camelback, Platypus, etc.), and you bring
the bag into your sleeping quarters, be sure you put the bite tube where
you can't roll over on it and accidentally start the water flowing.

FILTRATION METHODS
Pur Hiker |
This is what I use. I love it. |
|
|
First Need |
Hard to pump. It gets incredibly hard to pump
once the filter is clogged, and no amount of back- flushing will fix
it, once it gets to a certain state. |
|
|
MSR |
Preferred over the First Need. Harder to pump
than the Pur. |
