LAWS OF PHILOSOPHY

1.
Everybody has a philosophy, even if their philosophy is not having one...

My philosophy is rather simple.  Have fun.  If you're not having fun, don't do it.  That philosophy gets more elaborate as time goes on, but the basics remain the same.

Most people ask the question, "Where do I begin?".  Well, you have to start somewhere, and I've prepared a whole page to answer that question which you can access by following this link:

"Where do I begin?"

For other topics of philosophy, etc., please select from the list on the left.

You might wonder why I spend so much time on backpacking philosophy.  The answer is very simple.  Without a successful philosophy, you will not last long as a backpacker.

***

A whisper comes in the dead of night
When lonely stars are shining,
The restlessness of a bird of flight
From deep within me pining.

From lonely seas to the mountains high
I'll roam the whole world over,
A vagabond of the wind and sky,
For I was born a rover.
