Bob Lindsey
We asked him to put on his kilt for
this presentation. He had no idea that this was gong to
happen.
Two weeks ago, Bob asked me (Shane)
if he should wear a suit or his kilt to receive the Law
Enforcement Lifetime Achievement Award in Saint Louis next
week, I asked him if he had the proper gear - namely a Dirk and
a Sgian Dubh (pronounced 'skeen doo') - and he said that he did
not.
I called Paul and asked him if he
had a spare set that could be lent, and he immediately went to
work to produce a set specifically for Bob. He made them
in a week, dropped them off to me, and I did the leatherwork and
finished the box. (Shown below.)

<Shane> "I
want you to appreciate the onus and the history of what you are
wearing. Two weeks ago we discussed whether or not you
should wear your kilt to receive your award, and at that time I
asked if you had the complete kit, and you said that you did
not. In order to honor you, I am I am happy to say...

...Paul James Tuger has
made steel for you.

The look on his face was
priceless.
If I recall correctly, and I think
that I do, he said, "Oh my Lord.", and crossed
himself.
